  • What is The Little Village and what services does it offer?
The Little Village is a family child care located in a residential neighborhood that provides a safe and nurturing environment for children. The owner, a licensed early childhood educator, offers a play-based curriculum focused on the unique interests and needs of each child. The setting is designed to simulate a family home, with a maximum of six children at a time and plenty of natural light, open spaces, and cozy areas for rest and play. The Little Village also emphasizes healthy eating habits, incorporating organic and local foods into meals and snacks, and encourages active outdoor play. The program is available for children two to five years old, and the owner is committed to providing inclusive care, respecting and celebrating the diversity of all children and families.
  • What age range of children does The Little Village care for?
The Little Village provides care for children between the ages of 24 months to 5 years old. Our focus is on providing a nurturing and safe environment where children can learn, play, and grow. We offer a range of programs to meet the unique needs of each child, including drop-in care, toddler & preschool programs, and Parent's Night Out. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive community where both children and families feel supported and valued. We believe in promoting the development of the whole child, including their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • How do I enroll my child at The Little Village?
Enrolling your child at The Little Village is simple and straightforward! First, you will need to schedule a tour of our facility to get a feel for the environment and meet our provider. During the tour, we will provide you with all necessary enrollment documents, including our enrollment form and parent handbook. Once you have completed all required paperwork and paid the enrollment fee, we will be happy to welcome your child to our Little Village family! We understand that leaving your child with a caregiver can be difficult, which is why we encourage families to take their time during the enrollment process. Our provider is always available to answer any questions you may have, and we are committed to building a strong, trusting relationship with each family in our care. Rest assured that your child's safety, comfort, and development are our top priorities. Contact us today to schedule a tour and learn more about our Family Child Care services!
  • What is the ratio of caregivers to children at The Little Village?
The Little Village maintains a low caregiver-to-child ratio of 1 caregiver to 6 children, which ensures that each child receives the appropriate attention and care they need throughout the day. This ratio is in accordance with the standards set by the Air Force and lower than the state licensing allowable ratio of 1 caregiver to 8 children. We believe that a smaller group size creates a more intimate and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop in.
  • What is The Little Village and what makes it different from other child care centers
The Little Village is a family child care business that offers a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children to learn and grow. Unlike other child care centers, The Little Village provides a home-like atmosphere that fosters a sense of belonging and promotes individualized care. Our business is a licensed home-based child care, which means we offer two main advantages: smaller group sizes and a more personalized approach to each child. With a maximum of 6 children in our care, we can offer more one-to-one attention and customized learning experiences, and also a more manageable and reassuring environment for each child. We understand that every child is unique and has their own strengths and needs. Our curriculum is designed to promote discovery and to encourage hands-on learning experiences. We offer a variety of activities and learning materials that promote not only cognitive development but also social, emotional, and physical growth. At The Little Village, we believe that children learn best through play and exploration. We provide ample opportunities for children to engage in sensory experiences, creative expression, and physical activities. We also value open communication and collaboration with parents and guardians to ensure that every child's needs are met.
